The state of things at the end of 2023

It seems the days fly by and instead of being July 5, it's suddenly December 21 and people are talking about goal planning for Q1 2024.

2023 was a year where I struggled with doing what I 'should' do to grow my business. So many experts with so many opinions. I tried to find success by focusing my energy on the things I enjoyed doing and am good at. I've started in-person networking again and I'm having fun with it - other than the early morning meetings.

Why can't networking groups meet for lunch?

Thankfully, I've had accountability partners to keep me on track throughout the year. I'm the type of person who feels a lot of accountability to complete what I said I would, especially if someone else knows about it.  My accountability partners have kept me focused and provided a great source for brainstorming solutions I might not have thought of.

That support is exactly what I intend to offer thru the Accountability Success program I am launching in January.  So often we set goals (or get an Action Plan), but find it hard to make time or stay motivated to keep moving forward. The specifics of the program will be coming, but the short version is I'm offering a monthly check-in to see how you are doing on the 'homework' that gets you to your organizing and productivity goals.

2023 also marked my second year as a Library Clerk at my local city library. This year, I've been working on standardizing our catalog database and improving data entry standards. The collection management tasks make my geeky organizer heart so happy!

I'm taking the last week of the year off to relax, of course, but also to let my brain percolate on possibilities for 2024. No official goal planning for me until January 2 rolls around. A new year brings new opportunities. We can't forget that rest is important for both our brains and our bodies. For me that means plenty of art time, reading, and of course, naps.

What was awesome for you this year?

Great new client? New program you launched? Maybe it is finally feeling in control of your inbox!

What are you looking forward to next year? Do you have big plans for the holiday season?

Reach out when you get a chance and let me know. And if there is a way I can support you in organizing success - I'm ready!
