I was the girl who always had a book in her hand. At home, I stored books on bookshelves, under my pillow, or under the bed (that was where the romance novels were stashed when I was in high school!). In
These days I am more likely to be found reading online – books and fan fiction mostly, and articles or blogs that I follow. But just like the pile that used to stack up beside my bed, the online reading pile can get to be overwhelming. The amount of online fiction I’ve bookmarked should keep me busy till summer. To keep track of all the blogs I follow and articles I want to read, I used to use my browser bookmarks. But that was just another pile of things to go through. The great thing is, today there are several different options for keeping track of what you need to read.
One of my favorite online reading management tools is Feedly. Feedly is an RSS Reader – it collates all your blogs in one area so you can quickly check them and see what you want to read, either now or mark it for later. Feedly saves me time because I don’t have to check each individual blog to see if they’ve updated; I can let Feedly do it for me. This is also helpful when gathering articles for social media that I want to post.
So Feedly gathers the information for me, and I use Evernote to store those articles I want to keep. Another storage option, even if you want to save things to read ‘later’ is Pocket. One of the greatest aspects of Pocket is that you can read your articles when you are ‘off line’, which makes it perfect for long airplane or car rides.

As for reading books online – or at least on my digital device – I know Kindle is a popular
There is one thing to watch out for, regardless of what app or software you use. If you’ve got a lot of articles saved to ‘read later’, maybe take some time to review that reading list and see which ones you still want to make time to read, and which you can just delete. If you need help organizing that list, set up a Discovery Call and we can go over the options!
